Build a construction handover pack in minutes

Drop in the project's documents; get one indexed, branded handover PDF — and a list of anything missing.

  • Runs on your device — no upload

  • Try the full workflow on sample documents first

The problem

Every completed job needs a handover or O&M pack: compliance certificates, warranties, operating manuals, drawings and inspection records, organised so the client can find things years later.

Done by hand, that means renaming dozens of files, merging them in the right order, typing a contents page, numbering pages and hoping nothing was left out — usually an hour or more per project, repeated for every job.

What PDFPUMA does

  • Each document is sorted into a section (Certificates, Inspections, Warranties, Manuals, Maintenance, Drawings) from its file name and first page. You check and change any of them.
  • Your template lists the sections the client expects, so PDFPUMA shows which ones have nothing in them before you build.
  • The pack gets a branded cover, a contents page with page numbers, a bookmark for every section and document, page numbers and your project footer. You can also download the original files organised into numbered section folders.
  • Save the template — sections, cover wording and branding — and reuse it for the next project.

Example

You add

An electrical compliance certificate, a smoke alarm inspection report, two appliance warranties, an air-conditioner manual and a maintenance schedule (six PDFs). This is the live demo below.

You get

Before building, the check flags that no drawings were added. The pack: a cover, a contents page, five sections, a bookmark for every document and page numbers — plus a ZIP with the originals in folders "01 Certificates & compliance", "02 Inspection & test records" and so on.

How to start

  1. Enter the project and choose a template.
  2. Add the documents and check the suggested section for each.
  3. Review missing sections, then build the pack and download it (and the organised ZIP).

Tips

  • Save one template per type of job (for example residential, commercial fit-out) so the expected sections and branding are ready next time.
  • Edit each document's title — titles become contents entries and bookmarks (e.g. "Waterproofing certificate — Level 2").
  • Run scanned certificates through OCR first if the client needs to search the pack later.

Good to know

  • Section suggestions come from file names and the first page's text; scanned documents with no text are sorted by file name only.
  • PDFPUMA assembles and organises the documents you provide. It doesn't check whether a pack meets a contract, standard or legal requirement.

Frequently asked questions

Does it check that the pack is complete?

It checks against the sections in your template and shows which have no documents. Whether a pack meets a contract or regulation is up to you.

Are my project documents uploaded?

No. Everything — sorting, assembly and the ZIP — happens in your browser.

Which plan includes it?

Agency (A$29.99/month, 60-day free trial for new subscribers). Starter's Document assembly can build simpler packs without templates or branding.
