About this tool

Create a signature by drawing it with your mouse, finger or stylus, typing your name, or uploading an image of your handwritten signature. Then click the page where it should go, resize it and add a printed name or the date if you need them.

PDFPUMA adds a visual electronic signature: an image of your signature placed on the page. It is not a certificate-based digital signature and doesn't prove identity or detect later changes. Whether an electronic signature is acceptable depends on the document and the law that applies to it — check with the recipient if you're unsure.

Your signature stays on your device. You can choose to remember it in this browser for next time; it is never uploaded to PDFPUMA.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to PDFPUMA?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are read and processed on your device and the result is created there too — they are not sent to PDFPUMA's servers.

Is this a legally binding signature?

It is an electronic signature image, similar to signing a printed page and scanning it. Many everyday documents accept this, but some require a certified digital signature or a witnessed signature. PDFPUMA doesn't provide certified digital signatures.

Can I sign several pages?

Yes. Place your signature on as many pages as you need, and use 'Add to every page' for initials.

Which plan includes Sign PDF?

Sign PDF is included in Starter, Business and Agency.

Can I use password-protected PDFs?

Not with this tool yet. PDFPUMA doesn't bypass PDF passwords or permissions. If you own the file, remove the password in the app you used to protect it, then try again.
