Is PDFPUMA really free?
Yes. Every tool on this site is free to use without an account. Paid plans add higher limits and features for people who process PDFs every day.
Do you upload my files?
No. The tools run inside your browser using open-source PDF libraries (pdf-lib and Mozilla's PDF.js). Your files are read and processed on your device and are not sent to PDFPUMA's servers.
Does PDFPUMA add a watermark to my files?
No. PDFPUMA never adds its own branding or watermark to your documents — only a watermark you choose to add with the watermark tool.
Will it work on my phone?
Yes. PDFPUMA works in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on desktop and mobile. Very large files process faster on a computer with more memory.
Can PDFPUMA open password-protected PDFs?
PDFPUMA doesn't bypass PDF passwords. PDF to JPG can open a protected PDF if you enter its password; other tools currently need an unprotected file.
