How to convert PDF to JPG or PNG

  1. Add a PDF.
  2. Choose JPG or PNG, a resolution, and which pages to export.
  3. Select Convert and download the images individually or as a ZIP.

About this tool

PDFPUMA renders each page in your browser with PDF.js, Mozilla's PDF engine, and saves it as a JPG or PNG image at the resolution you pick.

Choose JPG for smaller files and photos, or PNG for sharp text and diagrams. Higher resolutions produce crisper images but larger files.

If the PDF is protected with an open password, you can enter it to render the pages. PDFPUMA never removes or bypasses the protection.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to PDFPUMA?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are read and processed on your device and the result is created there too — they are not sent to PDFPUMA's servers.

What resolution should I use?

150 DPI suits screens and email. 300 DPI is print quality and produces larger files.

Will the images look exactly like the PDF?

Almost always. Very unusual fonts or advanced PDF features can occasionally render slightly differently than in other viewers.
